Ahmad Bradshaw is the owner and lead trainer at Tip Top K9 Humble. He trained his first dog at 14 — his own pit bull, Mecca, a reactive, fearful dog on the streets of Chicago. Everyone else saw a lost cause. Ahmad worked with him until he was a confident, public-ready dog you could take anywhere. That turnaround set the course for everything he does now. A West Point graduate and U.S. Army veteran with about a decade in uniform, Ahmad brings the same steady discipline to the dogs other trainers turn away. Eighteen years and hundreds of dogs later, the hard cases are the ones he takes personally. One that still stands out is Cosmo, a fearful, reactive McNab who couldn't be near men or other dogs without falling apart. There was no quick fix for him. Ahmad built a custom private-lesson plan around exactly what set Cosmo off, and rebuilt him into a calm, confident dog — the kind of change that is the whole point. Ahmad doesn't lean on paper certifications. At Tip Top K9, every trainer is trained in-house from start to finish — our results with real dogs are our credential. He specializes in dog and people aggression, severe anxiety, and reactivity, alongside the everyday obedience most families come for. Local vets and groomers send him their toughest behavioral cases for a reason. When he's off the clock he's with his own crew — Gucci, his fully off-leash American Bully, and Tank, his XL American Bully.

Trainer

Born and raised in the U.S. Virgin Islands, I turned a lifelong love of dogs into a career with Tip Top K9. I specialize in anxious, reactive, aggressive, and high-drive dogs — helping them become confident, well-mannered companions through clear, consistent communication. I especially love working with Dobermans, German Shepherds, Border Collies, and Australian Shepherds, and I'm the proud owner of a Doberman named Lady Bug. Fun fact: I'm small, but I love working with big dogs.

I'm a trainer here at Tip Top K9, passionate about helping dogs and making a real difference in their lives. My favorite breed is the Cane Corso. Outside of training, I have a strong passion for music production — I love creating and bringing new ideas to life.

Kennel Technician

I'm a kennel technician at Tip Top K9 and a full-time student studying to become a registered nurse. My favorite part of the job is making sure every dog is healthy and ready to train. My favorite breed is the boxer — they're just too cute. Fun fact: I have a twin sister who works here too!

I'm one of the kennel techs at Tip Top K9. I love caring for the dogs, loving on them, and watching them grow throughout their training. My favorite breed is the German Shepherd — sweet, full of energy, and just amazing, well-rounded dogs. Fun fact: my twin sister is my best friend, and she's on the team too!

Why Tip Top K9

Real-world training that works.

Tip Top K9 was built on a simple idea: dog training should work in the real world, not just in a controlled environment. Our programs are designed around your dog's personality, your family's lifestyle, and the specific behaviors you need to fix — not a generic checklist. Every trainer in the Tip Top K9 network goes through rigorous training before working with clients. We do not guess. We use a proven system that has delivered results for dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments.

Our approach

Our Approach to Dog Training.

We start where the problem actually lives — in your dog's behavior, their environment, and the daily patterns that reinforce what you are trying to change. From there, we build a plan that addresses the root cause, not just the surface symptoms.

1

Boot Camp or Private Lessons

Intensive one-on-one training to build the foundation.

2

Owner Training

We teach you how to maintain what your dog has learned so the results stick at home.

3

Distraction Training

We proof your dog's behavior in real-world environments so they listen regardless of what is going on around them. By the time training is complete, your dog is not just behaving well in our sessions — they are behaving well everywhere.
